New Review Editor for The Civil War Monitor!

Posted 12/9/2013 Reviewed By Matthew C. Hulbert

For the last two years, it has been my genuine privilege to partner with many of the Civil War era's brightest scholars and most distinguished presses to provide reviews of the latest books, films, and music. To everyone who has contributed to The Bookshelf since we began operations in September 2011, you have my sincerest thanks and gratitude.

With my tenure nearing its end, I am very pleased to introduce Brian Matthew Jordan as the incoming book review editor of The Civil War Monitor effective January 15, 2014.

Brian is a veteran of both Gettysburg College (B.A.) and Yale University (Ph.D.) and has contributed numerous publications to the field of Civil War history, including Unholy Sabbath: The Battle of South Mountain in History and Memory, September 14, 1862 in 2012. I have every confidence that Brian's tenure as book review editor will be highly successful and hope that our readers and contributors will grant him the same outstanding levels of support and loyalty.
